How Telemedicine works
On the day of your appointment, you will receive an email and/or text with a link to the portal.

You do NOT need to download anything.
Click the link at the time of your appointment and you will enter the “waiting room.”
When Dr. Scheel is ready to start the visit, she will initiate the visit and your video and audio will connect.
If you feel like you are sick or may be coming down with an illness, I ask that you please contact me if you are symptomatic with a fever, cough, fatigue or other respiratory symptoms prior to your appointment so we can assess together and see if switching to a virtual appointment is recommended. Your health care is important and necessary - whether that be counseling, updating your plan, reviewing labs, acupuncture, massage - please continue to care for yourself and I look forward to seeing you!

What can naturopathic medicine do for you?
Naturopathic medicine provides a in-depth analysis of your current health concerns, your family history, and your current diet and lifestyle, to develop a holistic approach to your healthcare. With at 60 minute virtual visit, there is time to go into detail about each of your health concerns, discuss these thoroughly from a holistic perspective, review recommended labs and/or imaging, and develop an individualized treatment plan based on what works for you. This can be natural, or traditional care, or a mix between the two!

How many visits are needed?
We are working together to help you take charge of your health and my ultimate goal is for you to become your own doctor. This being said, the frequency and number of visits often vary depending on your current health status, your goals, and your commitment to getting healthy. Most often, it’s recommended to schedule the initial visit + 1 follow up visit about 2-4 weeks after. From here, scheduling monthly for 1-3 appointments, and then quarterly, is recommended while working hard on making diet and lifestyle changes that last.

Consults can be done by phone or on a virtual face-to-face platform (doxy.me), whichever you prefer.
Initial visits are 60 minutes, follow up visits are 30-60 minutes.

*Note - Insurance may not be accepted for virtual consults. If you do not have coverage, time of services fees will be collected and are due at the time of your appointment.
Financial constraints
Dr. Chloe Scheel also understands there may be a financial hardship for many patients who are in need of care. In order to provide access to natural health care to all populations, Dr. Scheel does offer a 20-minute one-to-one phone call for a single complaint at a discounted rate of $20-50 depending on complexity and follow up needed.
